Introduction
STEP National Contact Points (NCPs) are designated by EU Member States and are responsible for monitoring and supporting the implementation of the STEP Initiative at the national level.
In Italy, the NCP is assigned to the Department for Cohesion Policies and the South - Office II.The NCP is committed to disseminating the opportunities provided by STEP and, therefore, actively engaging national stakeholders and other relevant actors. It also provides operational support for the integration of STEP into the 2021-2027 Cohesion Policy programmes.
The NCP is responsible for maintaining the constant dialogue with the European Commission's STEP Task Force with the aim at solving any issues and ensure proper implementation of the initiative and participates in regular coordination meetings organized by the European Commission.
